For Wednesday, February 18th:

Write a character paper modeled after the sample papers I’ve given you today. These are stories in which two very different people come together in a very distinct place. Because we humans like stories, frame the meeting of these two people in some kind of story—maybe one in which a character changes by the end of the story.

Your challenge is to describe (show) the place and the people through sensory details—details that serve the purpose of revealing things about the place and the people. (For example, much gets revealed by the detail on a Mafia don of a gold money clip that holds crisp one-hundred dollar bills.)

Come to class on Wednesday with four typed copies.
