Richard
Matranga joined the Foundation
board for the second time in 2005,
serving as Vice President for the
2006/2007 fiscal year. Currently, he
is board President, an office he
first held roughly a decade ago,
when he originally joined the
Foundation’s board. Richard has
served as Sonora’s city attorney for
23 years and the city attorney for
Angels Camp for over 12 years. In
his “spare” time, Richard runs
Sonora Port Works, an award-winning
winery.

Michael S. Chimente
is embarking on his second year of a
three-year term on the Foundation's
board of directors. Mike is the
superintendent of the Vallecito
Union School District and serves on
the Foundation's board as a way of
giving back to his community and
supporting Columbia College's
mission. Mike lives in Angels Camp
with his wife, Maria, and their
three sons, Anthony, Joseph, and
Thomas.

Pat Dean
is currently chairing the Yosemite
Community College District’s board
of trustees, in addition to serving
on the Columbia College Foundation.
A retired nursing administrator and
high school teacher, Pat believes in
the importance of raising both funds
and friends for Columbia College and
its Foundation. Her Foundation work
is an expression of Pat’s firm
conviction that education must be
accessible to every person who
desires it.

William W. Dunlavy,
a past president of the board, has just
agreed to serve his third three-year
term. A retired district sales manager
for Union Carbide in San Francisco, Bill
has successfully raised community funds
for several College projects, including
Carkeet Park and the effort to pass the
bond issue for capital improvements.
Bill’s volunteer community service
includes the Board of Governors of the
Tuolumne County Museum, President of
Sonora Lions Club, and the Tuolumne
County Transportation Commission, in
addition to his work for the College
Foundation.

Doralyn C. Foletti
is the Program Representative
for Student Development and
Outreach at Columbia College. On
the Foundation board, Doralyn
serves as Co-chair of the
recently-formed Columbia College
Alumni Association. In addition
to actively volunteering to help
the Foundation’s efforts,
Doralyn is the head coach for
Sonora High School’s junior
varsity softball team, a mother
of five, and a Columbia College
alumna. She also writes creative
nonfiction and has been
published in literary magazines.
