QuickTimeŽ Software

The QuickTime plug-in, developed by Apple Computer Inc., is a small file that adds functionality to your browser software. Installing the QuickTime software will automatically install the plug-in and your browser will play the multimedia files. How do you know if you already have QuickTime installed? If QuickTime is installed on your computer, you will see the logo (above left) display briefly whenever you attempt to play a video file in your browser. Most Macs come with QuickTime preinstalled. On most PCs, you will need to download and install QuickTime. The Quick Time software can be found here.

To double check that QuickTime works properly, click on the following QuickTime movie link to see if your browser handles QuickTime correctly. Please be patient while the movie loads.

Windows Media, developed by Microsoft is a universal media player that receives and plays back streaming and progressive audio and video media over the Internet or intranet.
