COMPOSER REPORT OUTLINE

Make a brief outline for your composer report with:

1) a thesis statement

2) main topics and

3) a concluding statement.

Then use your brief outline to expand your report.

EXAMPLE:

Thesis: Beethoven - a difficult life but a creative one.

I. Early years and early musical training

II. Middle years:

A. Ensuing deafness, musical successes, personal struggles and relationships

III. Final years:

A. Personal struggles and musical accomplishments

Conclusion: Beethoven - a man who persevered and overcame difficulty to achieve great musical art

You may be creative in your approach, but also be logical. Your Thesis statement should be reflected in your report and it should be a result of your thinking about the information you have read.
