A & S Faculty Senate Proposals

 

  1. Regularly scheduled A & S Divisional meetings between A & S faculty and Dean are to be held periodically. These meetings are to be scheduled at approximately the same time slot semester by semester so all can plan accordingly.

 

  1. Agenda for Divisional Meeting to be posted on a Divisional Web Site or similar “public access” location prior to meetings.

 

  1. Faculty will develop a “phone tree” for its various areas (academic disciplines?) Meetings will be held to discuss common concerns. Faculty will “self identify” its areas and put a name forward as their point person, then that person would be the point person on the phone tree.

 

  1. All A & S Divisional business is to be accessible on the web. Meeting agenda, paperwork for the division, information updates, etc would be the type of information posted on the Dean’s website.

 

  1. All adjunct professors (80-110 per semester) would be assigned to a regular faculty “mentor” (32). This regular faculty person will help with communications between areas and the adjunct professor.

 

  1. Additional support for the Divisional Office will be sought within budgetary limits
