Philosophy Statement
The Columbia College Staff Development Program directs its energy toward assisting college employees in being well prepared to deliver educational services. Such preparation includes but is not limited to: orientation of new staff, professional development, personal development, organizational development, technology training, and recognition and appreciation (Education Code, Article 5, Section 87153 a-I). The program supports group and college-wide activities as well as individual proposals for specific training.
The forms to propose an individual activity can be accessed through this page.
Once you access the form, you need to do each of the following:
1. Print the four pages. ( Click File, then click Print).
2. Complete the first two pages and a travel request if necessary.
3. Give the form to your supervisor, who will complete page three.
4.
Submit the form to the Staff Development Coordinator.
