SIGN 40A: ASL:  Beginning Communication with the Deaf                      3 units 
Lecture:  3 hours
This is the beginning course in American Sign Language (ASL) and Deaf culture.  ASL is the language used by culturally Deaf people in the United States.  The class focus is on everyday conversations and situations.  Emphasis in on both receptive and expressive skills.
