Math for Liberal Arts Students
3 units
Lecture: 3 hours. Prerequisite: Math 104 with a grade of C, Credit or better, or placement through the assessment process, or equivalent A survey of important mathematical ideas with insight into their historical development with emphasis on the nature of mathematical reasoning and the importance and applications of mathematics in society. Topics may include sets and logic, number theory, functions and graphs, geometric ideas, probability and statistics, calculus, graph theory, or other significant areas of mathematics.
