Prerequisite: Certified ability to swim fifty yards or tread water for 5 minutes, verified by WSI/Lifeguard

Activity: 3 hours
The course introduces the student to the fundamentals of sailing through dockside/classroom lectures and hands-on experience in sailboats. Points of sail, basic terminology, tacking, jibing, theory and safety are stressed. Transfer: UC/CSU (Transfer credit limited. See a counselor.)
