Extended Opportunity Programs & Services (EOPS)
|
A community college student must...
1. Be a California resident.
2. Be enrolled in 12 units or more.
3. Have earned less than 70 Associate-level units.
4. Meet financial and academic qualifications.
Eligibility for BOGFW -- Board of Governors Fee Waiver
(A) Recipient of CalWORKs,
TANF, or SSI
(B) Meet established income / family size standards

Student qualifies for either math or English that is below Associate degree level.
Student didn't graduate from high school / didn't attain GED.
Student's high school GPA was below 2.5.
Student was previously enrolled in remedial education in high school or college.
Student is a first generation college student (Neither mother nor father received a Bachelors degree or higher.)
Student is a member of an underrepresented group targeted for outreach and recruitment.
Neither parent of
student is a native English speaker.
An EOPS student who meets EOPS student responsibilities each semester and who has submitted a BOGFW and an EOPS application each year will remain on EOPS zuntil the student has achieved 70 Associate degree level units or has completed six consecutive semesters on EOPS. Eligibility is determined each semester through the EOPS Intake process.
