CMPSC 75: GIS Applications in Resource Management                         3 units  
Recommended for Success:  CMPSC 70 or GEOGR 70
Lecture:  3 hours

This course uses the ArcGIS ArcView software and the Image Analyst extension to explore the use of GIS in natural resource analysis and management.  Emphasis is on the use of satellite imagery and aerial photography to derive information of GIS analysis.   The course consists of a combination of lectures, demonstrations, hands-on exercises, and a student project.   Credit may be earned for only one of the following:  CMPSC 75 or GEOGR 75.   May be repeated two times.
