Networking Essentials - CCNA 1
3 units Recommended for Success: CMPSC 1 Lecture: 3 hours Laboratory: 1 hour This course is an introduction to computer networking and data communications. The focus is on concepts, terminology, and technologies in current networking environments. The course is based on, and covers the OSI model including discussions of Local and Wide Area Networks (LAN & WAN). A laboratory component provides hands-on experience in network setup and computer configuration. This course includes the first semester of Cisco Academy training, which is part of a program leading to CCNA certification.
