Transfer Center!

We have the resources you need to:

• decide where to transfer
• find the requirements for admission to the school of your choice
• determine the General Education preparation requirements
• determine the lower division major preparation required

Come visit us at the Transfer Center:

Transfer Center staff, counselors and many resource materials are available to help facilitate the transition from Columbia College to other 2 and 4-year colleges and universities for completion of your educational goals. The Center houses catalogs from all California public schools as well as many from private and out-of-state schools. There are numerous videos and pamphlets available to enhance students’ college research, as well as computers with Eureka software and Internet access. ASSIST provides direct access to articulation agreements with other colleges indicating which courses taken at Columbia are comparable with specific courses at the transfer school of choice. The California Articulation Number (CAN) system provides cross-referenced course numbers determined to be acceptable "in lieu of" each other at different schools for lower division major preparation.

The Transfer Center coordinates regular visits of representatives from other colleges as well as field trips to tour schools and various on campus workshops throughout the year. Transfer Day, held each September, is a wonderful opportunity to meet with representatives who visit our campus from many schools to compare the programs and services they offer.
