Discussion : Cross-listing courses and the possible issues this may encounter in regards to equivalency in both areas. Need to make sure that we are following state guidelines when giving instructors equivalency to teach a cross-listed course. Members of the committee expressed equivalency is an administrative issue and not a curriculum concern.

Discussion: Joe will work with Meryl on the changes that need to be made. Committee members would like for faculty to be aware that the committee is looking for more details in the proposals/reviews than was acceptable in the past; so they won’t feel broad sided when bringing curriculum before the committee.

Discussion: Joe is to research and/or ask Dennis where grading on attendance policy is located in Title IV and bring back to the next Executive meeting. Repeatability for this course came under discussion and if it is an activity course. Committee decided this could be considered an activity course. Jean will look into the specific guidelines for what is considered an activity course.

Attendance
Tim would like to know what happened with changing the major title from Speech Communications to Communication in the catalog; the Curriculum Committee voted last year to have it changed, but it has not happened as to date. Susan and Carolyn will check on it and report back at the next meeting.

Joe took the Adjunct Curriculum Review Pay Procedure/Guidelines
to the Academic Senate meeting last week where it was approved to go forward.
